Our founding story
Since 2019 and following the acquisition of InThreat, the company has become a 100% software company under the name Sekoia.io, a modern and scalable SOC platform for detecting and responding to cyber threats.
After a seed round in 2020 and a Series A in 2023, we have raised €26 million Series B in 2025 with the support of world-class investors (see below) to lead the way in AI-Native security platforms for managed SOCs.
A Cherokee Indian, a big tree and an open mindset
Sequoyah (1770-1843), after whom the redwood tree was named, is the inventor of the Cherokee syllabary. The invention of this writing system not only made it possible to move from oral to written communication, it also inspired dozens of other written languages and facilitated exchanges with other Indian tribes. This paradigm-shifting initiative reflects the vision of openness and knowledge sharing of the founders of Sekoia.io, deployed today in a standardization project such as OXA (Open XDR Architecture), aiming at enabling interoperability of cybersecurity tools and thus strengthening the digital protection of organizations.
